The Twilight Musical Dialogues series is led by acclaimed flautist Sally Walker, featuring collaborations with some of Australia’s finest musicians. Each recital is delivered in a deft mix of humour and pathos, with the music unified by each concert’s historic and geographic framework. Recitals take place in the Adamstown Uniting Church (Newcastle) and well as guest appearances at Christ Church Cathedral (Newcastle), the Greenaway Studio (Canberra), St Albans (Quirindi) and the Gunnedah Conservatorium of Music.
Our 2017 “Five Continents” season traversed the musical globe and featured pianists Tamara Anna Cislowska, Elena Kats-Chernin, Gabriella Pusner, Sally Whitwell, Daniel Rojas-Gonzales, Christopher Allan and Baritone David Greco. Our 2018 “Musical Luminati” season embraced passionate musicians who are also great thinkers: Flautist/Neurologist Eckart Altenmüller, Organist Peter Guy, Cellist/Educator Rachel Scott, Pianist Simon Tedeschi, ACO Violinist/Educator Aiko, Clarinettist/Omega Ensemble Artistic Director David Rowden, Pianist/Academic Clemens Leske together with Artistic Director, Flautist Sally Walker. Each concert features a local young artist and is preceeded by a wine tasting and Hunter Valley delectations.
Stay tuned for our 2019 concerts.
